Guide To Wildlife Webcams
Powered by EarthCam
We believe that EarthCam is one of the best overall webcam sites on the Internet. The number and variety of webcams is overwhelming.  A search of wildlife webcams returned a list of over 50 wildlife webcams from around the world. There are links to backyard bird feeders, eagle nests, and African waterholes. Many of the wildlife webcams are located in zoos.

If you are interested in watching wildlife, one new way to do it is by using your computer to access webcams that are set up to monitor wildlife.  Ebiz247 has searched the Internet to provide you links to some of the best Web sites that allow you to watch wildlife from the comfort of your own home.  It may not be as fun or as interesting as being there in person, but it is gaining in popularity.

May of the wildlife webcams are set up in zoos and wildlife holding facitlities.  There are a few that are set up in backyards, and to us, the more interesting ones are the ones in the field.  The logistics of setting up, powering and transmitting webcam images from wildlife in the field can be challenging.  As new technology becomes available, the number of field webcams will increase.
National Geographic in partnership with RealNetworks, Inc and SeeMore Wildlife Sytems provide live streaming video to the Elephant Seal Cam off the California Coast, the Kakadu Cam in Australia, the Wildcam Africa at Pete's Pond in Botswana and the Polar Bear Cam at Churchill in Canada.  We have found that if the camera is not operational or the wildlife has moved on, that they will put in clips from previous video.
Africam has webcam sites in South Africa, Tanzania, Egypt and even North America. Some of the cameras are live streaming video, some are refreshed at a certain interval and others only take a photo when triggered by an animal moving past the camera. One thing to be aware of is there are video advertisments that usually play before the webcam video is visible.
There is a large number of wildlife webcams at ecologychannel.com. There are links to the African wildlife cameras, butterfly and ant webcams, and many links to webcams at zoos and wildlife holding facilities. Some of the selections are the elephant webcam at the National Zoo, Panda webcam at Zoo Atlanta, Chimpanzee webcam and the Rhino webcam at the Oregon Zoo in Portland.
