German company Siemens announced its line of Xelibri Personal Communication Devices' (PCDs). The PCD's use "conversation through air technology". You dial a number
that corresponds to that of another device, which can be anywhere, indoors
or outdoors. When they answer you can talk freely and "without inhibition".

New “Matrix” mobile phone from Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd |

Samsung has been promoting the mysterious phone for the past several weeks and has even
launched an Internet site for the device, www.thematrixphone.com. The web site provides only a quick glimpse at the unique mobile phone and allows
anyone to sign up for e-mail updates. Samsung designed the phone as a prop for the upcoming “The Matrix Reloaded” movie, which will be released May 15th, and will sell a commercial version of the futuristic device. We will let you know when it comes available... so check back often! |
