Hammacher Schlemmer tested a 20,000 gallon pool measuring 20' by 30' belonging to a condominium complex in Chicago. They placed six piles of debris—leaves, sand, and twigs in the pool and set the pool cleaners to work. This model was the only one that cleaned all six piles, taking only three hours to do so. It picked up coins, and produced enough suction to scale walls and scrub the waterline. The unit’s microprocessors gather information about pool layout to clean with greater efficiency. Its treads are fixed on four separate rollers, allowing one set to move forward and the other set to move back for tighter turns. |
